I am: a work in progress, Catholic, wife to fantastic husband of 15 years, home-educating mom to 8 blessings plus one in Heaven. Trying not to take one second of this glorious time for granted. I love the feel of yarn moving through my fingers, the smell of a new book and the warmth of a hot cup of tea or coffee (depending on the time of day) in my hand. My family so far...and no, none of them are twins :)
"I'm No Super Mom"
"I am a mother of eight, but it's not because I am Super Mom. It's not because I was born with some rare gift that makes me capable of mothering a large family. It's because this family God has seen fit to give me has shaped and changed me into the person I am today. It's because God sends challenges and then follows up those challenges with the graces you need to get through them. Always." ~Danielle Bean "I'm No Super Mom"

St. Jerome
Patron Saint of Libraries, Librarians and Book Lovers, Pray for us!
Did your children not LOVE that pop-up Our Lady of Guadalupe book? I have to keep a close watch on my terrorist--I mean, 2-year-old--because he wants to pull all the tabs himself.
"Me do it."
"No. Momma do it."
Those lift-a-flaps become rip-a-flaps WAY too quickly.
Margaret-- Thank you! Yes, the kids loved the book. And, yes, Little Man (2 yrs. old) has already torn one of the bars on the bishops window or cloistered area or whatever he is sitting in when Juan Diego visits him. The little stinker! I've given the kids strict orders to keep it out of his reach. *sigh* I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Megan-- It's a thick Mexican hot chocolate called Champurrado. I posted about it here: http://www.thecarelesscatholic.com/2011/12/chapurrado-por-nuestra-dulce-madre.html
Patroness of homemakers, housewives, mothers and pregnant women~Pray for us!
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me Body of Christ, save me Blood of Christ, inebriate me Water from the side of Christ, wash me Passion of Christ, strengthen me O good Jesus, hear me Within Thy wounds hide me Suffer me not to be separated from Thee From the malignant enemy defend me In the hour of my death call me And bid me come to Thee That with Thy saints I may praise Thee Forever and ever Amen
So pretty. And what is the lure of sitting on top of a table anyway? I don't know if I ever liked doing that as a kid, but mine can't get enough!
ReplyDeleteNicole--I think it has something to do with wanting to be in the thick of the action. :)
