Margaret-- You're so right. It's usually the times that I think the celebration was a flop that the kids think everything is wonderful. Really the only reason I think it's ever a flop is when it doesn't go according to what I had envisioned and my over-the-top expectations. That's why I went with the Pillsbury rolls. I was realistic in what I could do. I knew that after a day of cooking and celebrating Our Lady of Guadalupe's feast the day before that I would have no energy or patience for more elaborate cooking/baking. And you know what? The kids and I were more relaxed and enjoyed it just as much if not more… Amazing, right!? ;)

Refrigerated rolls or no, that wreath is stunning! My pan of rolls was rather...meh, to be honest, (I think I over-scalded the milk and zapped the heck out of those poor little yeasties), but still they were gobbled up appreciatively.

And that's just it, isn't it? It doesn't seem to matter if the day isn't perfect. In the end that's not what they remember!

Jamie--Oh! I'm looking forward to your post! I hope your daughter enjoyed it! I know my daughter, Dancer, loved every moment. Though getting up early was a bit of a sacrifice…for both of us. ;) She wore her crown and sash most of the day.

I can't get over how many doctor appts you have! You're supposed to be taking it easy this last trimester and these appts seem to have you hopping more than anything else. I sure hope you are getting sound rest at night.

You and the baby continue to be in my prayers. Love you!

Kelly!! We celebrated this morning with your wonderful candle head wreath!! Couldn't wait to use it!! We also used tubes of cinnamon rolls...much easier!

Then, I left for my 4 doctor appts, at 10:30 and finished at 3pm, with a 1/2 hour for lunch inbetween. Then onto a band concert tonite!!

I'll post tomorrow!!
