Barbara-- I know exactly what you mean! That's why I'm only wearing the socks to bed. ;) It's especially cold in our bedroom and the socks give just the added comfort and warmth I want and need.

I prefer 3 dp's over 4 whenever possible, too. Only when doing sock heels, I think, does using 4 come in handy.

We just got out 9 year old daughter that book for Christmas! Love the socks. I so want to learn how to knit. I only know how to crocet. . and not that well. I am thinking of starting to listen to books on the ipod. Are they easy to download? I'm not sure. I bet my husband knows!
