Hello and welcome to my wee weblog. I use this space mainly as a family journal in an attempt to capture those little moments that can pass us by too quickly; sharing photos, little snippets of what we're up to and how we celebrate the Liturgical Year. Some of my posts are just random ponderings and occasionally I will review books, movies and comment on current events. Honestly, I try not to do this very often. I'm not particularly witty, smart or savvy enough to feel these types of posts are of much benefit to anyone. Though, because of my personality it cannot always be avoided. So, when I do give an opinionated post, please just humor me. ;)
We are a family of 10 going on 11. We are expecting our newest member in early Spring of 2013. So far we have 5 boys and 3 girls. I have used blog nicknames for my children instead of using their real names for privacy reasons. I have never really enjoyed doing this, though. In my older posts you will see that I have used their nicknames when talking about my children, but I don't use them much anymore. I'm more likely to refer to the children by their age. We are Catholic. This is not in name only. We try to live out our faith daily. We are seeking Christ's grace in the ordinary. We are always in need of prayer so, if you could, would you please offer some for us?
We are home-educating our children. Our homeschooling philosophy is a little bit classical, a little bit Charlotte Mason, with a fair amount of un-schooling and a hefty dose of corralled chaos.
I love comments and relish the conversation. I have been blogging since 2009 and I treasure the online friendships that have blossomed over the years. I never fail to be inspired by the many blogs I read and it is a blessing to be a part of this generous community.
Oh, yes. One more thing. I LOVE to knit and I'm a confessed yarn addict. Just thought you deserved a fair warning. ;)
